Nagoya: The Best Japanese Experience

NAGOYA: THE BEST JAPANESE EXPERIENCE

Hi there, Foodies! Since we're just a few days behind Valentine's Day, My blog today might help you decide where you'll be spending your night on the 14th! Whether you'll be going stag, with a partner, with your friends or family; Nagoya in Ottawa is the perfect catch! Imagine yourself in a room of pure Japanese authenticity with the perfect set of food prepared right in front of your eyes! Also, the cool interiors of the place will definitely pull you closer to the restaurant!

Let me talk about some of the dishes they serve. First is, of course Steak. Nagoya has excellent skills in Steak-making; Hear the sizzling sound of marinated beef and watch it transform to the doneness you prefer! Coffee lovers like me, will absolutely love their Coffee Crusted Porterhouse Steak; imagine a huge-ass steak marinated with special seasonings and carefully rubbed with coffee; hmm crunchy on the outside soft on the inside! if you want to experience the best in this dish, I suggest that you have your steak in Medium doneness to enjoy a well-balanced taste of the meat and coffee. If you want a spicy kick to your Steak, you've got to try their Five Peppercorn Rubbed Prime Steak, enjoy the spicy and garlicky goodness of this dish with their special gravy! I also got to try where the spotlight is really on when it comes to their Steaks; their legit Kobe and Wagyu beef! ugh! I've got to say that they really didn't disappoint! I have no words to express how good it is! good grade of beef cooked on a hot stone and as soon as you put it in your mouth it melts together with all its beefy goodness right away! Just wow! Well, it costs a little higher than the other Steak but it definitely is worth the price! Next is, their Sushi Rolls. Sticky Japanese rice, your choice of meat or fish and variety of vegetables plus a special sauce! yum! what could be more satisfying than choosing each and every thing you want in your sushi, right? But, since everyone is not familiar with what could be the perfect pairings when it comes to sushi, they also got a menu to choose from for sushi-s! My personal favorite is the Salmon Cream Cheese Roll! Sticky rice with seasoning topped with a big slice of pink salmon, cream cheese and teriyaki finished off with torched mozzarella on top! Whoo my mouth is watering as I type this. Ugh. Moving on, you cannot go out Nagoya without trying the rich and creamy Curry Katsu that's served on a hot marble cooking stone! not to mention my favorite-the part where the rice sticks to the bottom of the stone and gets a little burnt and crunchy! Whooo!

Here's a few more of what Nagoya has to offer: Chasyu Ramen: rich broth with noodles, vegetables, butter and corn topped with marinated pork belly with crispy skin! Grr! Okonomiyaki; japanese pancake with soba, veggies, shrimp, pork bits, and octopus drizzled with special okonomiyake sauce and mayonnaise! Oyster Katsu; fresh oyster with katsu coating deep fried to golden brown goodness!
For drinks, I highly recommend their Fresh Watermelon Shake made with fresh watermelon, honey and almond milk! refreshingly good! And for dessert their Strawberry Shortcake is definitely a must-try; soft chiffon cake with strawberry sauce, custard filling and real strawberry slices! Hmm. Are you craving for some Japanese food now? Go visit Nagoya in Ottawa, KS.
